Seattle Art Fair shares exhibitor highlights, along with specific times of performances in its Projects and Talks program for its second edition, running August 4-7 at CenturyLink Field Event Center. The Seattle Art Fair 2016, co-produced by Paul G. Allen’s Vulcan Inc. and Art Market Productions, will feature over 80 exhibitors. The fair will kick off with the Beneficiary Preview, proceeds benefitting the Seattle Art Museum (SAM), on Thursday, August 4 at 5:30pm, followed by the official Opening Night Preview starting at 8:30pm. The fair continues August 5-7, with a diverse schedule of projects, talks, and events happening both on and off site. The Seattle Art Fair has established itself as a boutique fair where collectors can acquire some of the best art in the world in an intimate setting, and is an essential destination on the art world calendar. Bring your friends and enjoy a summer evening party in the unique setting of Fort Nisqually and Point Defiance Park. Friday at the Fort takes place Friday, August 5, 6-9:30 pm. The beauty of the Park at dusk surrounds you while live music adds energy and fun to the scene. Choose to kick back and relax or dance the night away. Expressive performances, poetry, literature and authentic cuisine offer a glimpse into this rich and multifaceted culture at Seattle Center Festál: Iranian Festival, Saturday, August 13, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., in Seattle Center Armory. Celebrating their 10th anniversary, the festival highlights Iranian architectural achievement. Hossein Amanat, the architect of Tehran’s iconic Azadi Tower, attends as one of the festival’s special guests and participates in a public film screening and question and answer session. “Iranian Americans Got Design Talent” invites youth ages seven to 17 to submit a 2-D or 3-D architectural design inspired by Iranian architecture. A one-day conference exploring Iranian architecture follows the festival on August 14, with presentation proposals accepted through July 25.
